A Requiem for Edward Snowden is a new audio-visual piece on the very current themes of privacy, security and loss in the 21st century. Based on the choices and actions of whistle-blower Edward Snowden, it uses electronic sound, live acoustic instruments and real-time visuals to explore how our everyday communications inevitably compromise our privacy. It has been created by Edinburgh-based composer and sound artist Matthew Collings, in collaboration with visual and media artist Jules Rawlinson, clarinettist Pete Furniss, violinist Emma Lloyd and cellist Clea Friend. www.madeinscotlandshowcase.com
