A Night at the Opera: critically-acclaimed pianist Andrew Wright performs attractive arrangements by Liszt and others, taken from operas by Wagner, Mascagni, Bellini and Rossini. He also presents the world premiere of his romantic, pictorial and dramatic piano sonata. Andrew Wright has specialised in the repertoire subgenre of operatic transcriptions, giving many public performances across the country and releasing two well-received albums of selections " featured on Classic FM " from this rich yet underexplored section of pianistic history. He is also a composer and a keen explorer of the art of improvisation.
