Tonight sees comedy critic Kate Copstick’s charity gig at the Gilded Balloon.
Mama Biashara is a tiny charity doing massive things, helping women in the poorest slums of Kenya, help themselves. It gives them a hand up, not a hand out, enabling them to start a small business so they can care and create a safe haven for their children.
The jokes tonight won’t be delivered by Copstick, but rather by a stellar line up of stand-ups including Hannah Gadsby, Adrienne Truscott, Glen Wool, Pete & Bambi, Phil Nichol, Mark Nelson and the Puppetry of the Penis team. Every ticket sold will help pull a family out of living hell.
Tickets are available from gildedballoon.co.uk or the box office on 0131 622 6552. The show starts at 6pm at the Teviot venue.
