This events company pop-up is perfect if you’re attending shows at theSpace@Niddry Street, or any of the other venues around there. The covered area can also prove to be very useful when a sudden deluge engulfs the city, which often happens in Edinburgh!

Name: Scott Backhausen

Age: 27

Bar: Sips in the City. 47-51 Niddry St.

Background: Born in Dumfries where he went to school. He moved to study Product Design Engineering at Edinburgh Napier University. He’d worked in hospitality as a student and then had the opportunity to move into venue management at Angel’s Share. He left there to visit his sister in Tamworth – the one just outside of Sydney – who was about to have her first child. He went on to see friends in New Zealand and since he returned he’s been working to save up the wherewithal to travel and go back to Australia.

Ambition: To have good times with his friends and family.

Favourite Drink: A Pint of Guinness

Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
