Richard’s back on the trail again chasing the Barstar of the day in our tribute to the unsung heroes who keep us refreshed during the Festival Fringe. Each venue is recommended by the previous Barstar. We’re starting the season at The Mitre, where Lisa might have to deal with the additional spirit of Bishop John Spottiswood who once owned the site.

Background: Born in Elgin, Morayshire, she’s lived in Edinburgh for 12 years. Bar work has sustained he over the years and she has worked in many. It’s also funded her travels to Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Her main hobbies are mountain biking and horseriding, which she taught during her time in Canada.
Ambition: To emigrate to New Zealand (eventually) although she has just bought a house in Musselburgh.
Favourite Drink: Havana Club and ginger ale.
