Glittering pyrotechnics illuminating Edinburghs iconic Castle. The thrilling emotions of glorious classics, loved by millions.

Soak up the magical party atmosphere in Princes Street Gardens with family and friends " enjoy a picnic, and toast the electrifying conclusion to the International Festival 2017.

Renowned Scottish folk singer Karen Matheson, vocalist of Celtic supergroup Capercaillie, joins the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for traditional Scottish tunes and the world premiere of a new work composed for Karen by Capercaillie founder Donald Shaw. The evening continues with an epic 40 minute fireworks display specially choreographed to beloved classics " including delectable dance music from Tchaikovskys Sleeping Beauty.

Over 100,000 fireworks launched from the castle make this one of the biggest fireworks concerts in the world. Around a quarter of a million people gather across the city and beyond to share in this annual International Festival finale each year.

At 1.30pm on the same day, schoolchildren from across the city will come to the Ross Theatre for a very special Schools Concert, sponsored by Virgin Money.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
