7pm-8pm
Kicking-off the evenings shenanigans will be Comedy Shenanigans, who are Irish comedians Aislinn (Best Female Improviser " Improvaganza 2015) and Noel (Best Improvised Scene " Improvaganza 2015). They will be collaborating with local performers to create a one-night only improvised comedy show with a never to be repeated cast. Joining them will be Sweet Nelson, an all-star group of Londons best improvisers (including Luke Manning, Thomas Mayo and Paul Raymond), who will be improv-ing like its their fancy-dress birthday party circa 2005.
8.15pm-9.15pm
Music Box (This one's brilliant *****- Fringe Guru) will bring some pathos back to the improv scene, improvising an entire musical on the spot. One of Londons longest running and most loved improv groups, they will seek to amaze audience with the ability not only to go on stage without any material but to then sing about it with poise. Songs and lyrics are plucked from thin air and stories and characters are created on the spot. They are joined by Mad Monkey Improv, who will make the audience remember the good old days of the insane and chaotic comedy Whose Line Is It Anyway.
9.30pm-10.30pm
The Saturday extravaganza will be closed-off by the Shakespair, a Brighton based duo, who will perform one of Shakespeares lost and never- performed plays. Concluding the evenings festivities will be Panicky Tack, the greatest improv band to ever have graced the Shoreditch Improv Festival stage. Expect killer grooves, angelic vocal harmonies and clever lyrics.
