The Sessions - Abbey Road Live at the O2 with Tapas Dinner and Wine
  • London Fringe

The Beatles Recording Session & Concert - a 5-hour experience!

There's not a music fan among us who wouldn't love to see The Beatles in concert, or to have been a fly on the wall for those historic recording sessions at Abbey Road. Combining a state-of-the-art reproduction of the iconic Abbey Road Studio 2 and spectacular live renditions of The Beatles masterpieces recorded there, The Sessions - Abbey Road at London's O2 on 15 May 2016 offers a taste of both in good measure.

There'll be no fewer than 45 musicians and singers on hand to make sure the performance captures the original recordings in all their glory. In order to showcase the albums' timeless and inimitable vocal harmonies, there'll be not one but two Johns, Pauls and Georges on hand to rock and roll the night away. A 21 piece orchestra will be supported by some of the rare, vintage instruments that were all part of The Beatles' unique multi-instrumentalism. Alongside all this, studio technicians will help recreate the era-defining 'Eureka' moments, with all seating at eye-level to maintain the intimacy of the piece.

Pre-show, you can dine on some delicious tapas-style cuisine with dessert and a large glass of wine in the exclusive surroundings of the O2's Crew Catering restaurant, where you are invited to relax before taking your premium seats.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.
