Launched in the mid 1960s, the Kingston University Brass Ensemble is our longest running ensemble and includes staff, students and alumni. For the ensembles first visit to the Fringe, the programme for their performance in the wonderful setting of St Giles Cathedral will include Fantasia by Jerome Bassano, Fanfare and Sonatina for Brass Sextet by Bryan Kelly (Movements one and two) a selection of music from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin, arranged by David Purser and also student compositions. The conductor is recent Kingston music graduate Alex Felipe Lopez.
