Leigh Bowery was born in Sunshine, Australia (west of Melbourne) in March 1961. In the early 80s, he moved to London and became a performance artist, club promoter and designer, as well as dancing with the Michael Clark Company, being painted by Lucien Freud, and setting up Taboo Night Club. Dance, text, fashion, art, sex and music feature in this in-your-face look at a life lived wildly... a long way from Sunshine.
