Scottish Voices, directed by Graham Hair, presents a recital for four women's voices and piano. The recital includes Hans Gal's romantic Rilke Trios, Boston-based composer Margaret McAllister's Rilke duo Wendung and new works by Graham Hair: Mediterranean Duets and Trios to Salvatore Quasimodo's haunting Italian translations from the Greek. Of the recent CD issue (on the US label Parma/Ravello) by Scottish Voices, including Alison and Taylor, reviewer Colin Clarke wrote (in Fanfare, the US equivalent of the British journal the Gramophone): 'The performance is simply stunning, and Hair's imagination seems to know no bounds'.
