In January, this brilliant and sensitive Polish pianist was named the recipient of the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award, which is given every four years. For his Carnegie Hall debut, Mr. Blechacz, 29, who has made acclaimed recordings on the Deutsche Grammophon label, will play Bach's "Italian" Concerto, Beethoven's "Path�tique" Sonata and several works by Chopin, the great composer of Mr. Blechacz's homeland.
