This summers blockbuster exhibition is an expansive survey of Impressionism, showcasing over 100 paintings from around the world. Through a series of fascinating and surprising juxtapositions, this show highlights the interactions and mutual influence between three key artists: Charles Francis Daubigny, a hitherto-overlooked painter, who anticipated and influenced many Impressionist practices, whilst supporting and inspiring many of the younger Impressionists. Claude Monet, the most famous of the Impressionists, who epitomised the movement through his beautiful responses to nature. Vincent van Gogh, the legendary post-Impressionist artist, whose brightly coloured paintings took inspiration from the Impressionists.
