John Kitchen's latest programme promises his audience uncommon delights. His recital illustrates the flexible form of the baroque suite featuring music by Johann Jakob Froberger (a student of Frescobaldi) and by Georg Bhm (an important forerunner of JS Bach, whose work is now seldom performed). To balance this lesser known German repertoire, John Kitchen has chosen suites by the popular German-born, English-adopted composer, Handel, together with keyboard transcriptions of two Handel overtures. 'Vividly alert to the widest range of styles and moods' (Classical Music). 'Real expressive depth' (Sunday Times).
