Francesca Martinez is a comedian who has cerebral palsy. 'I'm a bit wobbly', she says.
She has real warmth about her and is very beautiful. Her show is interesting and amusing and excels when she talks of her own life and experiences such as how her 'CP' has a convenient habit of getting worse when she is in line at the airport!
She entertained us with some very imaginative and well constructed metaphors although I felt she delved a little too much in politics - particularly as we've heard most of it before. What was quite surprising was how politically incorrect she could be but the audience seemed to embrace this happily. One thing that disappoints me about any comic is when their expletives get bigger laughs than the punch lines. Despite this, it's worth seeing - she is definitely one of a kind.
