If you’ve seen the cover photo of Dr Bunhead setting fire to his own head in the Fringe Guide you won’t be disappointed by the show. He really does set fire to his head. As well as recreate the history of the world with help from a colourful fire tornado, shoot stunt hamsters from a hamster bazooka, create gravity-defying soap-poo, turn bananas into hammers and produce wind instruments that play themselves.
This show reminds any science loving parent how they first got roped into a laboratory and will inspire children to question the bumps and bangs of the world. 'If you’re a scientist its like Whoooa and then Why?’ That’s what scientists do.’ Dr Bunhead announces, after pulling off another madly exciting experiment. He even spared the time to give his young audience enough scientific background that they might actually have learned something, as well as getting sore eyes and ears from the flashes and bangs.
Dr. Bunheads showmanship is perfectly suited to his audience, sprinkling his chat with bums, farts, snot, Spongesquare Bobpants and curly-wurly space poo. He also had little prizes for the brave, pyromaniac volunteers that helped him with flameballs and explosions. There are a couple of jokes meant for accompanying parents, but really your kids are just an excuse to get in yourself and embrace your inner child.
