Rural Ireland - rich in personality and culture yet teeming with the stigma and prejudice of another age. It is against this backdrop that the dark and humorous tale of Dolly is told. Following the death of a close friend and the growing apathy of his parents our protagonist, Joe, longs for a new purpose. Farm life will no longer suffice as he delves into an addictive disguise. This play is both a reflection of the harsh struggle for identity and a celebration of the unstoppable desire to find yourself in spite of your surroundings.
