We now have great weapons against cervical cancer, but it still kills women every year. Cervical screening can detect the early effects of the virus which causes cervical cancer (HPV) before things develop further, and we can now vaccinate teenage girls against HPV infection so that they never even get the virus to begin with. Once more, this screening and vaccination is free through the NHS. So why are women not using these services when they could save their lives? Come help leading scientists Heather Cubie MBE and Sarah Howie figure it out.
