Cats opened in London in 1981, and since then has been performed in over twenty countries and two hundred and fifty cities. It became the longest running musical in the history of British theatre and spawned a smash hit single with Memory, which has subsequently been recorded by over 150 artists.
The show closed in the West End in 2002, after celebrating its 21st birthday, but has since been performed at venues across the UK and the world.
