Psychoanalysis is in retreat as CBT has become the dominant psychotherapeutic paradigm. Does this matter, and if so, how can a 21st Century psychoanalysis emerge? I hope to show how the relational approach and evidence base of contemporary Attachment Theory provides at least some of the answers.
