The film chronicles the rich and tragic history of the Crimean Tatar people from ancient times to the aftermath of the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea. The film won Best International Film at the DC Independent Film Festival in March 2016 and Best Documentary at the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival. It won a 2015 Silver Spotlight Documentary Film award. The director of the film, Christina Paschyn, will be on hand to introduce the film and lead a Q&A session afterwards.
