What do people need to know about you?
A worrying baked goods theme is emerging here
I'm a Sheffield-based poet with an interest in the influences of poetry's roots in storytelling on its modern-day incarnation, and how the two might blend and merge. This is my first Fringe, and my first feature-length performance, so I am 50% nervous and at least 55% excited.
What are you up to this Fringe?
In conjunction with Sheep Theatre, I'm bringing Figments and Dust, a series of interlinked poems retelling myths and folk tales focussing on female characters. Expect witches, dragons, modern twists and fig leaves.
What else are you going to see?
Sweet Thunder – A Show in Three Layers had me at the liberatory potentials of chocolate cake. There's also a production of Sweeney Todd on that I need to watch – a worrying baked goods theme is emerging here.
