Broadway Baby

Strictly Ballroom tickets

We don’t know quite how big the 70th Edinburgh Festival Fringe will be this year quite yet – the final number’s a closely guarded secret until the official press launch in June – but we do know about the first 50 shows to be released. And they are all now on Broadway Baby.

Whatever your pleasure, EdFringe 2017 will be a vintage year and Broadway Baby will be there to help you discover the best of it.

There’s the return of perennial favourites such as Showstopper! The Improvised Musical – born in Edinburgh and now a West End hit; The I Hate Children Children’s Show – Paul Nathan’s irreverently hilarious kid’s offering and comedians Daniel Sloss, Jimeoin and Tape Face are also back for more.

Following the now traditional naming convention for frivolous musicals, Communism: The Musical! hits Greenside and promises adventures on the capitalist island of Dollaropolis with Kommufist and his friends.

If recent politics is your bag, then Know Brexit at theSpace Surgeon’s Hall is the follow up to Geoffrey Brown’s Knowing EU from last year. Also at theSpace you’ll find Lunch Girls from the Dingwall Players – celebrating their 70th anniversary at the 70th Fringe.

Nine-time Grammy award winner Joni Mitchell, six-time winner Carole King and five-time winner James Taylor all get their lives retold at Symposium Hall in three separate shows and The Katet play tribute to the legend Stevie Wonder at The Jazz Bar.

Horror fans may like the sound of Terror Tour, taking you through Edinburgh’s darker medieval history and beneath the streets to haunted vaults. There’s even a tour of the vaults at midnight if you’ve got the stomach for that kind of thing.

Whatever your pleasure, EdFringe 2017 will be a vintage year and Broadway Baby will be there to help you discover the best of it.
