What do people need to know about you?

Basically Cards Against Humanity but with poems

Andrew (29) is the Godfather of Edinburgh Poetry.

Ross (28) has no formal title but can be spotted from afar as he is A. Very distinguished, and B. On fire at all times.

People have described us thus:

Weird, fresh, funny, deconstruction, smart arse, bellowing, savage, punctual, oulipo, who?

What are you up to this Fringe?

We’ll be guesting at other spoken-word and comedy shows, and attempting to destroy poetry. Before our main show we’ll be inviting desecration with the Poets Against Humanity panel game - basically Cards Against Humanity but with poems. That’s on the 21st. On the 9th we’re contributing questions to The Impossible Quiz (it’s not merely difficult, some of the answers are distinctly subjective). Andrew is also performing The Alternative Edinburgh Walking Tour which consists mainly of lying to people in side-streets.

Eventually we’ll get round to doing our own show for a week, by which time we’ll either be super psyched or tired and grumpy. It doesn’t matter that much, as outwardly these look much the same. Originally the show was going to be about a fictional version of Edinburgh - inspired by the film Troll 2 - until it became apparent that no one would have a clue what we were talking about. Instead we’re doing a show about the real fictional version of Edinburgh and the impact that’s had on its popular side project, the city of Edinburgh, and its most important inhabitants: poets.

What else are you going to see?

Colin McGuire. Agnes Torok, SHIFT/, Planet Caramel, Bec Hill, Blind Poetics, the oncoming darkness.

What is your favourite word?

Herod.
